When it comes to having fun Oxford and Oxfordshire has so many great activities for the entire family.
For the animal lovers visit Cotswold Wildlife Park - get up close and see the big cats, giraffes, ride the train - and don't forget the gardens as they are beautiful too.
Throw on some wellies and take a trip to Millets Farm and Farmer Gow's - the kids will love the miniature bunnies at the Waterfowl Sanctuary and Children's Farm.
Try your hand at flying kites at Uffington Castle.
Harcourt Arboretum -a favourite for picnics. Go bare feet along the velvety grass of the rhododendron walk.
Take to the water and enjoy Steamer trips and punting: always a hit in hot weather - stock up on picnic goodies before you go.
Oxford's open-air swimming pool:part of Hinksey Park - tinies just love the (free) splash park. If it's wet go along to the Oxford Ice Rink - one of the few remaining ice rinks in England.
In Oxford children love: Harry Potter and Golden Compass connections; the Botanic Garden; Family events at the museums or ride the 'topless bus'; See how many gargoyles and carvings you can count or draw!
Oxfordshire Museum at Woodstock has a dinosaur garden and interactive dinosaur gallery. The Soldiers of Oxfordshire exhibition ‘Children and War' is also currently on display there and is family friendly with activities for children including trails, dressing up and objects to handle.
